BOUND FOR THE AUTHOR BY O.V. CALDER, Oxford 1942: light-blue crushed morocco, a strapwork pattern on front cover inlaid in night-blue morocco, similar but smaller inlays on back cover and in compartments of the spine, straight and curved fillets in gilt on sides, spine and turn-ins, top-edges gilt, shaped light-blue morocco piece with gilt-blocked Hobson arms inside front cover. Provenance: G.D. Hobson.
G.D. Hobson's important 1926 Sandars Lectures. Laid in is an autograph letter signed by the binder to the author's son (19th June 1960). In very fine condition, the binding's bright blue color perfectly preserved. BBB Wittockiana 54.
