Possibly an early study for Palma's painting of 1595-1600 now in the Staatsgalerie, Würzburg, S. Mason Rinaldi, Palma il Giovane, l'opera completa, Milan, 1984, no. 612. fig. 245.
As with the previous lot, an attribution to Veronese has been suggested by Dr. Stefania Mason Rinaldi, while Dr. Richard Cocke agrees with the attribution to Palma (on the basis of a photograph).
