A reissue of the plates only of the 1763 edition. Letterpress title and 4-page index of plates, additional engraved allegorical title, 184 numbered engraved plates of West Indian plants, one folding, text and plates printed on slightly blue-tinted paper. Plant names added in a neat 19th-century hand (in pancil to first 30 plates, in ink for the remainder).
