JEAN NEGULESCO DRAWING
A watercolor on paper drawing of a nude female form that director Jean Negulesco rendered for Benita Hume, wife of Ronald Colman, with his signature of Negulesco/53 in the lower left-hand corner next to a fountain pen ink inscription reading After all...why should/you dine with/Jean/1954. According to Hume, one night Negulesco had asked her to dinner, but without Colman. She politely declined and likely as an apology, this piece was later created for her.
