Lot Essay

The present table is a variant of the 'low pedestal table' created by Jean Prouvé around 1940. Charlotte Perriand specially ordered this Prouvé model and had it manufactured in Brazzaville to her specifications. The table was part of the original furnishings of the large apartments of the Air France building.
