JEFFERSON'S COPY OF THE FIRST EDITION, PRESENTED BY ELIZABETH CHASE. The book begins with an extract (5 pages) from the Travels of the Marquis de Chateleux, written c.1780, in which he describes his visit to Monticello, Jefferson's home.
