JOHN JOSEPH BARKER WAS THE THIRD SON OF THE ARTIST, THOMAS BARKER (1767-1847), WHOSE INFLUENCE IS PARTICULARLY APPARENT IN HIS EARLY WORKS. JOHN JOSEPH BARKER SPENT HIS ENTIRE CAREER WORKING IN BATH.
