Lennon's interpretation of the 'seasonal message' on this card is clearly an ironic reference to Brian Epstein's Jewish faith.
The intricately patterned style of this drawing is reminiscent of another pen and ink sketch by Lennon from the same period, apparently executed by him whilst under the influence of LSD. Sold through these rooms from the Cynthia Lennon Collection, August 28th, 1991.
