JOHN LENNON POCKET WATCH
A white-gold men's pocket watch owned by John Lennon; the movement with a subsidiary seconds dial is by Howard, the main dial is polished with applied gold-tone Arabic numerals, the case is octagonal with a floral pattern, the hands are blue steel; the watch itself is suspended from a fancy link white metal chain.
This piece was originally offered in the June 23, 1984 Sotheby's (New York) auction titled "Collector's Carrousel, including Property from the Collection of John Lennon and Yoko Ono;" Sale 5197, Lot 257, Page 50 of that catalogue, which is included with this lot as is a 'Certificate of Ownership' signed by Yoko Ono.
