Engraved frontispiece portrait of Cook by Heath after Joseph Banks (frontispiece soiled). 19th century mottled calf (rehinged, spine dry, scuffing). Provenance: John Corner, bookplate. FIRST EDITION. Kippis obtained his information for the first biography of Cook from the Admiralty in the Navy.
