Small 8° (128 x 84mm). Collation: A-K8. 18th-century red morocco tooled in gilt, edges gilt (spine worn). Provenance: Nicholas Bingham (17th-century signature on verso of last leaf); sold at Mr.Hutchins auction, King Street, Covent Garden, 18 December 1778 (note on flyleaf) this may possibly be John Hutchins, the topographer (d.1773); later signature deleted; Cardiff Castle bookplate.

ONLY EDITION. Written in defence of his famous tract First blast of the trumpet against the monstruous regiment of women, published the same year. At end a metrical version of Psalm 94 by William Kethe. STC 15063
