PRICED in a contemporary hand. Sale catalogue of the library of a Fermier Général; according to the preface by Martin, La Haye (his Christian name is not recorded) was a son of one of the Secrétaires du Roi; he became a Fermier Général in 1718 and served in this capacity until his death in 1753 at the age of sixty-nine. This is one of the twenty-two catalogues by Martin with an index. Lugt, No. 854, records the sale of La Haye's paintings and sculpture, also in 1754. Blogie, II col. 7; Lugt, No. 855; North 115.
