Bound in contemporary red morocco gilt by Caldwell Brothers, the boards with roll-tooled gilt floral border surrounding a gilt roll-tooled panel with gilt floral corner- and centre-pieces, enclosing a central gilt flower vase tool, the upper board titled 'SKETCHES FROM NATURE' in gilt, gilt turn-ins, the spine elaborately gilt in 6 compartments divided by raised bands, gilt edges (lightly faded, rubbed and scuffed).
