Nimrod, life in Eastbourne, 1908, the return of the British Antarctic Expedition, 1909, the Canadian tour in May 1910, preparations in Norway for the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition, 1914, and others, the photographs mounted on the recto and verso of 27 cream leaves. Oblong folio, half black morocco gilt, extremities rubbed, joints partially split.

The archive includes many unpublished photographs of Shackleton and documents the various family households in Sydenham, Scotland and Eastbourne, as well as Emily's snapshots of Shackleton on Discovery, Nimrod and Endurance.
