The catalogue includes 2316 lots. "Barbier states that the catalogue was compiled by l'abbé Jacques Hebrail; according to Balayé, the Bibliothèque du roi purchased 13,150 prints from Lallemant de Betz in 1753, a collection begun by Jean Rousseau in the 17th century" (Grolier). An annotated catalogue of that collection was published in 1903. Barbier I:512; North 222.
