LAUGH-IN FLYING FICKLE FINGER OF FATE AWARD
A metal award on wooden base used on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In depicting a hand with a winged pointing finger, and metallic plaque which reads "Flying Fickle Finger of Fate." Stamped on the bottom of the award is "(Copyright symbol) George Schlatter - Ed Friendly Productions And Romart, Inc. 1969." The award was presented by Laugh-In hosts Dan Rowan and Dick Martin for the most ridiculous news item of the week. Winners of the Award included the Los Angeles Chief of Police, William F. Buckley Jr., and - on five occasions - The Pentagon. This particular award was not personalized to anyone in particular and was likely used on several occasions.
