(Portrait torn to lower platemark and crudely repaired, creased and lightly spotted, other tears and repairs at inner margin, upper margin of title cut away, corners of 02, Hh2, YY2 and Bbb4 torn away, not affecting text, index leaf Ggg2 with clean tear, a few other marginal tears, occasional spotting, very light waterstaining and dust soiling). Contemporary calf (worn with some crude repairs). Provenance: Miss Christian Mayer (signature dated July 1815); Katharine Hearn (old signature). Second edition.
