4o (195 x 133 mm). Large engraved folding map. (Stain on title, small marginal stain at beginning, few shoulder notes clipped.) Contemporary limp vellum, morocco spine label.
FIRST EDITION. According to Didbin, "A very rare book and in much request." Sabin also quotes the Grenville catalogue: "This description of the Province of Chaco and Countries of Paraguay, by one of the missionaries, is very much esteemed and sought after" (Sabin 42598).
