    ,by Valentin Glushko for his contribution to the Rocket Development MODEL RD 107 rocket engine model duplicated in detail for one of the major contributors of the Space Program. This is the four-chambered oxygen-kerosene engine used in the first stage of the Vostok and other carrier vehicles. Thrust in vacuum: 102 tons. Specific Impulse: 314 secs (designed by GDL-OKB in 1954-57). The RD 107 rocket engine sent the first intercontinental missile up in the 1950's, the first launches to the Moon, the first Sputniks and the first Men and Woman into space.
