Original illustrated salmon-pink wrappers, with a letterpress by Malevich, and linocut by Burlyuk (re-backed, light wear to edges, light soiling).
FIRST EDITION. A LANDMARK EVENT IN THE FUTURIST MOVEMENT. Kruchenikh's first futurist opera, with music by Matyushin, was performed in St. Petersburg's Luna Park in December 1913. The cubo-futurist scenery was designed by Malevich, who saw these set-designs as fundamental in the development of his Suprematist style. Hellyer 237; MoMA 21.
