An award presented to the actress designed as a mirror with a birchwood frame having fourteen electric light sockets (original bulbs are now gone) and a leather grip; affixed plaque is engraved Marilyn Monroe/Winner-First Place/Detroit Free Press/New Faces Award/1952.

This piece was originally sold in the October 27-28 Christie's (New York) auction titled "The Personal Property of Marilyn Monroe;" Sale 9216, Lot 312, Page 220 of that catalogue; final price realized was $25,300.
