MARILYN MONROE BIKINI TOP
A turquoise and cornflower blue polkadot silk bikini top with an interior label reading "designed/by/Jax;" one of MM's favorite clothiers.
This piece is identical to the one that was originally sold in the October 27-28, 1999 Christie's (New York) auction titled "The Personal Property of Marilyn Monroe;" Sale 9216, Lot 155, Page 125 of that catalogue; MM was known to have bought multiples of clothing she liked, this top being an example of that.
