MARILYN MONROE DRESS
A black wool dress with long sleeves, a gathered turtleneck and a frontal zipper similar to or is the one Marilyn wore when she announced her divorce from Joe DiMaggio on October 6, 1954.
This piece is one of two that was originally sold in the October 27-28, 1999 Christie's (New York) auction titled "The Personal Property of Marilyn Monroe;" Sale 9216, Lot 214, Page 160 of that catalogue; final price realized was $36,800; original "Marilyn" lot tag is still attached.
