MARILYN MONROE FUR STOLE
A white fox fur stole with a triple-pleated ivory silk lining and a label reading Teitelbaum Furs/Beverly Hills; appearing to be the one Marilyn wore to the premieres of "How to Marry a Millionaire" in 1953 and "The Seven Year Itch" in 1955 as well as to the Photoplay Magazine Awards ceremony in 1953 as evidenced by the telltale triple-pleat lining seen in press photographs of her at these events.
This piece was originally sold in the October 27-28, 1999 Christie's (New York) auction titled "The Personal Property of Marilyn Monroe;" Sale 9216, Lot 172A, Page 135 of that catalogue; final price realized was $9,775.
