Early 18th century calf, spine gilt, edges gilt (front endpaper detached, some rubbing to joints, small wormhole in rear cover). Provenance: Henrici Hamal Leod (signature on title-page).
The catalogue to Marolles' second collection, which he began acquiring immediately after the sale of this first collection to the Bibliothèque du Roi in 1667. This volume is thought to be the first printed work in which the monograms of artists are reproduced.
