Lyon: Gariel Cotier, 1561 [colophon dated 1560]. Folio, 329 x 211 mm., nineteenth-century half calf, red morocco lettering piece on spine, joints starting, some wear and rubbing to covers; title dust soiled with a few slight marginal repairs, some minor marginal dampstaining and browning. Woodcut printer's device on title and final leaf, and 640 woodcuts in text. The woodcuts are reduced copies of the first Valgrisi set. FIRST FRENCH EDITION, translated with additions and commentary by Antoine de Pinet. Nissen BBI 1312; see Harvard/Mortimer Italian 294.
