AN EXTREMELY RARE EARLY PUBLICATION FROM MAURITIUS, UNRECORDED BY TOUSSAINT. Printed in Port Louis by the newspaper, The Cerneen, this amusing and charmingly illustrated work describes itself as 'melancholy and facetious, heroic and pusillanimous, interesting and uninteresting, and comprehending full and extraordinary particulars of the humbug of small and remote societies.' The inner margins bear signs of the printing process, with three stab marks to each leaf.
