Arabic manuscript on paper, 21ll. very small black naskh, gold roundels between verses, gold margins between black rules, outer ruled margin, illuminated marginal medallions, sura headings in red on gold panels illuminated opening folio and following two bifolios, final folio with colophon signed by Ibn Muhammad Mahdi Muhammad Yusuf al-Hamdani and dated Rabi' II 1238, original black lacquer binding with green central panel and cartouche border, red lacquer doublures painted with gold floral sprays - 9.5 x 5.5cm.
