MK II PRESSURE SUIT. 1956 B.F. Goodrich Mark II suit of lightweight rubberized fabric consisting of a full pressure helmet, suit torso, detachable pressure boots and pressure gloves.
Developed in the late 50's, this suit's 7 rotational bearing joints (three in eah arm and one in the neck) provided excellent mobility. It's 30 zippers also earned it the nickname "THE ZIP LOCK SUIT. An historic suit produced in limited numbers for testing the human factors of future spaceflights, it was the prescursor for the Mercury suit.
