Chancery 4° (180 x 128mm). Gothic type, initials supplied in a pale reddish brown with decorative penwork. (A few inkstains in lower margins causing slight corrosion, lower blank margin of a2 repaired.) Modern boards. Provenance: Franciscus Resler (signature, dated 1517, on title verso), possibly the supplier of the initials -- Walter Goldwater (bookplate).
