Folio, 278 x 193mm. (10 15/16 x 7 1/2in.), eighteenth-century vellum over pasteboard, covers gilt-panelled, spine ink-lettered, gilt, upper inner joint broken, binding soiled, two leaves detached from first quire, title and some leaves at front and back stained.
FIRST EDITION, title in red and black with woodcut coat-of-arms, title to "Sigue se un coloquio del...Luys Hurtado de Mendoça" on K2 within elaborate woodcut border, 12 large anatomical woodcut illustrations derived from Vesalius.
The first work on anatomy in Spanish with illustrations.
