Accompanied by Movado magnetic acrylic display cases with brass bases, screened with the signature of Agam, together with a large Movado red presentation box and original press documents folder.
The present watches represent number 3 in a limited series of the "Rainbow Collection" produced in 1989 by Movado in conjunction with the artist Yaacov Agam. Yaacov Agam, born in 1928 Palestine (now Israel), was at the forefront of the optical and kinetic art movement in the 1950s. His work explores how when shapes change and move, they suggest a sense of development and growth - a journey through space and time. These timepieces discard the traditional approach of hands rotating around a dial and convey time passing with simple moving shapes, such as triangles and rectangles. He alters our preception on the telling of time.
