'NERUDA, Pablo' [i.e. Ricard Eliecer NEFTALI REYES] (1904-1973). Typescript signed (in green ink, 'Pablo Neruda') of a poem, 'Argentina, escucha lo que mi patria te dice', n.p., n.d., 4½ pages, 4°. Provenance: Félix della Paolera (see note to lot 1).
An impassioned address to Argentina 'in the name of the freedom of our America' in response to the coup d'état of 1943. The poem was published in El Siglo (Santiago: 11 June 1944), but apparently not republished until the Nerudiana dispersa (Barcelona: 2001), I, pp.525-531.
