NOAILLES FAMILY -- Léon TECHENER. Catalogue de la Bibliothèque du Château de Mouchy. Paris: Lahure for Techener, 30 May 1872.
Large 8o (250 x 168 mm). Engraved vignette with the coat of arms of the Noailles family on title. Later red half cloth, t.e.g. (front hinge partly split).
Edition limited to 100 copies for private use only, all printed on papier Hollande. The catalogue of the 2,615 books is extensively indexed and followed by the description of the manuscripts. Techener indicates that a large part of the family archives, dating back to the 11th century, was removed from the château during the French Revolution and is now part of the Bibliothèque nationale de France where it is kept under the title of "Fonds Noailles".
