Lot Essay

The Glasgow Art Club annual picnic was held at Blairquhan in the early 1990s, as shown in the present lot. The figures in the window include the artists John Cunningham, David Donaldson, Norman Kirkham and Cooper Hay, and by the fireplace are Graham Harris and the restorer Kenny MacKenzie.
