    Lot Essay

Many of the Art Deco enamelled designs of the early 1930s were produced on a number of grounds including red and blue lustre and the matt turquoise Mattajade or even red lacquer. Orient was only produced on a matt black ground emphasising the Modernist design in red, green and gold lustre
