PABLO PICASSO Portrait of Max Jacob (M. 271; B. 743; see C. books 78) lithograph, 1953, on a folded sheet of laid paper, Mourlot's only state, Mourlot calls for the edition of three on Japon, 170 on Montval as the frontispiece for the book Chronique des temps Héroiques and the signed and numbered edition of 93 with wider margins, inscribed 'M 271' in pencil in the lower margin, and '8905/x' on the reverse, with margins, time staining, soft creasing, a few pale foxmarks near the fold, otherwise in good condition, framed L. 9¼ x 6½ in. (235 x 165 mm.) S. 9 3/8 x 14¼ in. (238 x 362 mm.)
