PABLO PICASSO The Toad (M. 144; B. 585) lithograph, 1949, on Arches, Mourlot's only state, Mourlot calls for five proofs and the signed and numbered edition of 50, inscribed '144', 'page 145', 'M 144' and '6/6 FM' in pencil on the reverse, with small left and right margins, pale time staining, a horizontal soft handling crease in the upper left corner, minor surface soiling on the reverse, scattered foxing at the extreme left margin edge and at the reverse of the left and right margin edges, otherwise in good condition, framed L. 19 5/8 x 25 3/8 in. (498 x 644 mm.) S. 19¾ x 25¾ in. (501 x 653 mm.)
