Two works in one volume, 12° (149 x 80mm.). Contemporary calf (rebacked rubbed). Provenance: John Stuart, 3rd Earl of Bute (1713-1792, armorial bookplate on verso of title); Luton Hoo library (armorial bookplate).
FIRST EDITIONS. The first work is Pardies' most important work, rare and highly regarded by his contempories. The second is apparently a translation of his Horologium thaumaticum, however no copies survive of Latin original and doubts have been expressed as to weither it was ever published.
