CASSINI AND OTHERS, some double-page (including 255b and a duplicate plate 216; plates 197-200 bound at the end of volume III; occasional paper discolouration and dampstaining). Later half roan, spines gilt in 6 compartments, 2 with green lettering labels, uncut.
FIRST EDITION. Passeri (1694-1780), Antiquary to the Grand Duke of Tuscany, produced many works on archaeological and antiquarian subjects. These three finely illustrated volumes reflect his abiding belief in the superiority of Etruscan over Greek civilization. (3)
