Patek Philippe produced 244 examples of the reference 3450 between 1981 and 1986. The majority was made in yellow gold.
The first series featured a red leap year indicator on the dial. The present watch is from the second series indicating the leap year in Arabic numerals.
The actual owner purchased it from Patek Philippe Geneva on 13 February 1985.
A similar watch is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, 2nd edition, p. 290 pl. 449a and in Armbanduhren by G. Negretti/F. Nencini, p. 162.
