Patek Philippe confirm production of this watch in 1950 and its subsequent sale on December 20th, 1950. Examples of this model with original Certificates rarely appear at auction.

In 1997, Patek Philippe released the limited edition Pagoda model wristwatch, reference 5500, to commemorate the inauguration of their new watchmaking center in Geneva. The interesting case design of the Eiffel Tower model, reference 2441, served as the inspiration for the contemporary Pagoda.
