Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch as a dress watch with chain in 1966 and its subsequent sale on 19 January 1967. It has been transformed into a wristwatch at a later date.
The present watch was a gift in 1968 from producer Joseph Levine to the film director Anthony Harvey to thank him for his work on the movie "The Lion in Winter", one of the most revered films of all time.
The classic is marked by Peter O'Toole's and Katharine Hepburn's outstanding performances as well as the film debuts of Anthony Hopkins, Timothy Dalton, Nigel Terry and John Castle.
It was nominated for six Oscars and brought Katharine Hepburn her third of four Oscars.
