Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1982 and its subsequent sale on 22 April 1982. Furthermore delivered with the original Certificate of Chronometrie Beyer, Zurich, confirming that less than 12 examples of reference 3450 were originally fitted with original integrated gold bracelet.
Only 244 examples of reference 3450 were made between 1981 and 1986, the first series, such as the present watch, featured a red leap year indicator on the dial, the second series Arabic numerals. To the best of our knowledge, this watch is one of only 9 examples of a first series reference 3450 with integrated gold bracelet known to date.
It is interesting to note that the Extract from the Archives states that this watch was originally entered in their books to have been fitted with a leather strap. However, close analysis does not show any alterations to its case. Furthermore, since its first appearance at auction in 1988 this watch is known with the present integrated Patek Philippe gold bracelet.
Reference 3450 is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 290, pl. 449a.
