Peter Sellers and Britt Ekland's daughter, Victoria, was born on 20th January 1965.
In Casino Royale Sellers was projected to earn a million pounds for his role as the bogus James Bond in the movie spoof of Ian Fleming's fictional agent. Sellers looked on this role as a major milestone in his career, however the film was plagued by problems. Firstly due to Sellers poor heart condition [he suffered a series of heartattacks only weeks into their marriage] none of the big insurance companies would insure the film. Work could only start after the producer Charles Feldman personally underwrote the liability himself. Secondly Sellers wanted to play the role straight, whilst the producers wanted him to be funny. Disputes and chaos followed until Sellers eventually left of his his own accord.
