Porsche 356 Carrera - A completely restored 4 cam Carrera plain bearing engine, Type 692.3A.
Engine No. *P96024*
This engine has been beautifully restored during the last nine years by respected Porsche (and Ferrari) engine rebuilder Mr. David Liddle of David Liddle Motors, Sydney. No expense was spared in the restoration and this has included a brand new crankshaft (made in the USA) machined from solid billet, new Carillo con rods, new Mahle Nikasil pistons and barrels, all new bearings and all new camshaft drivegear bearings. The camshaft drivegear splines have also been resized. The engine has the original Solex 44 carburettors and stacks, now rebuilt and all new gaskets and seals as necessary. Since the rebuild it has not been run up.
It is offered with the engine stand.
