POTTER, BEATRIX. Changing Pictures: A Book of Transformation Pictures. London: Ernest Nister, n.d. [circa 1894]. 6 chromolithographed moveable pictures and numerous black and white text illustrations throughout. 4to, original cloth-backed glazed pictorial boards, corners a little worn; hinges reinforced, some marginal browning and soiling, a few marginal chips or short tears. Scarce.
The only Potter illustration is one of three featured on the cover. It depicts a rabbit opening a door and finding a basket of carrots and turnips on his snowy doorstep. Although considered to have been published in 1894, a copy bearing an 1893 inscription has been noted.
