FIRST EDITION, with 1909 on title-page, but bound with endpapers indicating a July, 1910 date; this copy has the Notice Board in picture on p. 14, and no printer's imprint on p. . Eleanor St. George Caldecott, gift inscription to her on the front free endpaper verso: "Eleanor St. George Caldecott with her Mother's love." The recipient was the daughter of Clement Guest Caldecott and Frances Eleanor Caldecott (née Scott). Clement was Randolph Caldecott's half-brother.
