Original orange cloth, the spine lettered in black, dustwrapper (endpapers a little browned, corners very lightly rubbed, small mark at foot of spine, dustwrapper torn with losses). Provenance: Ph. Park (presentation inscription on front free endpaper 'Ph Park , borrowed it , forever , Ezra Pound , [?]S L-Z'). FIRST AMERICAN EDITION. PRESENTATION COPY INSCRIBED BY POUND. The first American edition contains 'Letter sent Autumn, 1934, by Ezra Pound to Editor of the Criterion, London [i.e. T.S. Eliot]' (pp.v-ix), which was not included in the first edition.
