The English scientist Joseph Priestley emigrated to America in 1794 adn settled in Northumberland, Pennsylvania. He died there ten years later. This rare bookseller's catalogue of his library ahs over 1800 entries in various subjects. Shaw & Shoemaker 38706 (2 location: LC and Harvard).
